Regular Season: Rules
Hello, Tamers!
As we approach the end of Beta Season and gear up for Regular Season, we’re thrilled to introduce the updated rules and systems that will shape your journey in Ragnarok: Monster World. Take a moment to review these carefully to make the most of your rewards and protect your MMR and NCR. Let’s dive in!
A one-week Pre-Season will begin on November 7th, following the end of the Beta Season. The Regular Season will then kick off on November 14th.
1. MMR Decay
To keep the competition intense and fair, we’re setting specific MMR decay rules for both top-ranking players and the rest of the community.
Top 10 Players
To prevent “camping” at high ranks, Top 10 players are required to complete a minimum of 15 PvP battles daily (win or lose) to avoid MMR decay. This rule will take effect starting in the Pre-Season on November 7th and will continue throughout the Regular Season. However, MMR will reset when the Regular Season begins on November 14th, so there’s no need to be overly cautious during the Pre-Season.
If this requirement isn’t met, there will be a 10% deduction in MMR.
Only PvP battles count toward this daily requirement — PvE battles will not contribute. This ensures top players actively participate in the competitive PvP arena.
General Player Base
For all other players, MMR decay is enforced more leniently but still requires activity to avoid decay.
Players outside the Top 10, who has MMR over 1600, must play 10 PvP battles within every 48 hours to avoid a 3% MMR deduction.
New Tracking Features Coming Soon
To help everyone keep track of MMR decay requirements, our November 14th update will include new tracking tools:
Timer: Displays the remaining time until the next requirement check.
Battle Count: Shows the number of required and completed PvP battles to help you easily monitor your progress.
2. Multi-Account Ban Policy
To ensure fairness, we strictly prohibit juggling assets and botting, though we take a more lenient approach toward using multiple accounts on a single device. Each week, our team will analyze data to identify and ban any detected abusers.
Our primary focus is on catching users who exploit the system through account juggling or bot-like activities. Our goal is to protect honest players, including dedicated scholars and asset holders, while maintaining a fair and competitive environment.
Penalties for Multi-Account Violations
Forfeiture of all rewards (eZENY, ZENY) across all associated accounts.
A one-month ban from participating in community events such as raffles, giveaways, airdrops, and tournaments.
Disqualification from the next season’s leaderboard.
If you believe you were unfairly banned, you can submit a support ticket with evidence to appeal.
3. New Anti-Juggling Rule
We’re implementing new rules to prevent juggling (frequent switching of NFTs across accounts) for a fairer gameplay experience.
Here’s how the system works:
NCR Deduction for NFT Transfers: Moving an NFT out of your account will now incur a 14% NCR deduction if done outside designated “freedom” periods.
Pre-Season — Freedom Period
The Pre-Season begins on November 7th, 2PM (GMT+7) right after a two hour maintenance at the end of Beta Season. During this period, you will be allowed to freely transfer your NFT assets without NCR deductions. Feel free to test out new Ragmons, balance updates, and strategies. Pre-Season is the perfect time to adjust your assets and fine tune your strategies as needed before the competitive Regular Season starts — Its called a “Pre”-Season for a reason!
3 Days Freedom Period — Beginning of Each Era
When the Pre-Season ends Regular Season will finally begin on November 14th, 2PM (GMT+7) after a two hour maintenance. This Regular Season will be composed of 3 Eras — Early, Middle and Late (2 weeks per each Era). Each new Era within the Regular Season will kick off with a 3-day freedom period during which NFT transfers will also be NCR-deduction-free. However, juggling NFT assets is strictly prohibited and will result in bans when detected. This 3day freedom period gives you flexibility to respond to any hot-fixes or new features introduced right after Pre-Season or the end of each Era.
Regular Season Transfer Penalties — NCR Deduction Rule
Once each 3-day freedom period ends, the 14% NCR deduction for NFT transfers will activate and apply for the remainder of the Era. This penalty applies only to NFTs that have been used in at least one battle victory.
NCR updates every 6 hours. So, NCR shown on the web leaderboard won’t be updated real time but will be updated in every 6 hours.
If you transfer an NFT mid-Era, the deducted NCR will reflect on the leaderboard 6 hours after the transfer. You can still participate in battles to gradually raise your NCR back up throughout the Era.
However, If you wish to avoid any NCR deductions altogether, wait until the next freedom period before moving your NFTs.
We hope these updated rules provide clarity and enhance your experience in the upcoming Regular Season! Keep these rules in mind to safeguard your MMR, NCR, and rewards. Stay tuned for another article soon, where we’ll unveil the exciting new leaderboard rewards awaiting you.
